How the Ad-Blocker works, and fixing internet issues
Choose a filter level for the system-wide Ad-Blocker and restore your connection if a site stops loading.
What it does
The Ad-Blocker filters ads and trackers for every app and browser on your PC. No browser extension is needed.
Filter levels
- Minimal: blocks the most common ad networks; lowest chance of breaking sites.
- Optimum: recommended balance for most people.
- Extreme: the largest list; may break some logins, videos or shopping sites.
A site doesn't load
- Switch to a lower level (Extreme → Optimum → Minimal).
- If it still fails, turn the Ad-Blocker off.
"Lists failed to load"
The filter lists couldn't be loaded. Check your internet connection and start the Ad-Blocker again.
No internet after a crash or forced shutdown
Open TuneUP, turn the Ad-Blocker off and back on, or restart your PC. If the problem continues, contact us.
The Free plan blocks up to 10,000 requests; Pro is unlimited.
