Overview

We develop cleanup and privacy software for your computer. Your privacy is extremely important to us. Your personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently in accordance with the GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws. We limit collection to data needed to improve the software, verify accounts, manage licensing, and provide support.

Below, we clearly explain what types of information we collect. We hope this transparency strengthens your trust in us.

When You Visit Our Website

  • We do not use third-party tracking or analytics tools.
  • We use our own methods to measure website usage.

When You Sign Up

  • We only ask for your email address and password. (Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
  • If you sign in with Google, your Google profile information (name and email) is shared with us.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; your card details are never sent to us.
  • We retain your Pro payment transaction identifier until your next billing event.

When You Use Our Services (Website)

When You Use Our Services (TuneUP)

  • Account Details: Account name, status (e.g., PRO), and unique device identifiers.
  • System Information: Windows version, installation directory, CPU, GPU, and RAM details.
  • App Data: TuneUP version, selected language, and preferred settings.
  • Usage Timestamps: App startup, shutdown, minimize, and SmartUP execution times.
  • Network Data: IP address.
  • Cleanup Stats: Total cleaned file size.

Anonymous Telemetry

Pro users can enable Anonymize telemetry in profile settings to anonymize direct identifiers such as device ID, computer name, and user name in analytics records sent by the TuneUP app.

When this setting is enabled, account and transaction records required for licensing, security, abuse prevention, payments, and legal obligations are still retained.

Why We Collect This Data

  • Email address for account creation and licensing (For EEA users: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
  • IP and session data for security, device limits and usage analysis (For EEA users: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
  • Usage statistics for product improvement
  • System information to validate error reports and understand performance issues by hardware class

Where CCPA/CPRA applies, please note that we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Your personal files on your computer (photos, videos, documents, etc.).
  • Contents or metadata of cleaned files, such as file names or dates (we only measure the total MB/GB saved).
  • Your browsing history, search queries, or typed URLs.
  • Your keystrokes, saved passwords, or browser form data.
  • Lists of installed applications on your device for marketing profiling.
  • Your precise location data (GPS).

Data Retention and Security

  • Data is stored on Google servers leased by OGW Studio.
  • Data is retained for a maximum of 180 days.
  • Data is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored complying with GDPR's adequate protection requirements.
  • Data can only be accessed by authorized personnel.
  • TuneUP communicates only with OGW Studio and Microsoft servers.

We keep collected data on our servers for up to 180 days to reduce infrastructure load and protect data privacy.

Data Deletion and Legal Requests

  • Upon user request, all data is deleted within 30 days. Any new data sent afterward is stored and processed under this policy.
  • Depending on your location, you may have specific rights. If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, delete (Right to be Forgotten), restrict processing, and port your data under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you can exercise your specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Data may be disclosed when legally required.
  • The laws of the Republic of Türkiye apply.
