Managing startup apps to boot faster
Disable programs that launch with Windows using Startup Manager.
Disable a startup app
- Open Toolbox → Startup Manager.
- Check the Status column: Active items start with Windows.
- Select the apps you don't need at startup and disable them.
Disabling only stops the app from launching automatically. It isn't uninstalled and you can turn it back on at any time.
What is safe to disable?
Chat apps, game launchers, cloud-storage clients and updaters are usually safe. Keep antivirus, audio, touchpad and graphics driver utilities enabled.
The list also shows where each item starts from.
